I was not a high school runner, but I got into it for the worst reason....I was dating a runner. That guy is long gone, but running stays with me as my alternative to anti-depression drugs and unhealthy coping methods.

This game - and substitute pickle ball here if that is your gig - gives you a workout, keeps you social, helps with focus and learning how not to defeat yourself with the negative voice (s) in your own head. Good for your whole life!
Really, why? This is about self-image and maintaining your inner peace and confidence, despite the barrage of unachievable "goals" set arbitrarily by exposure to media-preferred images.
